Who is your website and what does he do?

Really Shaun? You started with an Arnold Schwarzenegger soundboard subject? Darn right! I’m that confident in this website’s success. But, what I’d really like is to take this moment and write about what I want to accomplish with you and the world and the information being given.

There are one, or two, or thousands of other travel bloggers out living the dream. Great ones too. They are getting paid to travel the world and want nothing more that to prove that you can do it too. It is absolutely 100% true. I’m not joking. Maybe they all find their own way but it is something that everyone can do. And if that’s where your heart is then stick to it. However, I don’t think there needs to be extremes. The truth is students are graduating with record debt. People are interested in pursuing and advancing their careers and having families. Yet always, everyone, who says this also says: “I wish I had travelled more” And that’s where I come in.

Instead of telling you to quit. I’m going to focus on striking a balance. I want to chronicle how I am going to balance life in the cubical farm vs pursing my #1 passion of travel.

I have a regular full-time job in cubical land. A social life and a circle of friends in my city. I have a wonderful girlfriend, family close by and bills to pay.

How do we accomplish all this? Well, that’s partly what I’m trying to find out.

What will you find on here is a narrative of my impressions and experiences as I explore the world. Destination information to help you plan your own journey. Travel industry news, tips and deals. Also, I plan to deliver a significant financial edge in my decisions, advice and balance.

Save for retirement and go on vacation twice this year? Let’s see if it’s possible.

Coming up in future posts, I’ll intoduce myself more. Write about the way I travel and touch on the first place I visited outside North America.

  1. Some good points here. Everything comes at a cost and travel is not always cheap, the memories are priceless.

You are right about students with massive debt. It is strange that people are most free in their early twenties without a family yet lack the financial clout to truly enjoy that freedomw.

    • The student debt I had was a hash lesson in the real world. Travel is not always cheap but it never has to be expensive either.

  2. Hey Shaun, just came across your site and I love what it’s all about. I think a lot of people are looking to balance a “work life” with a travel lifestyle, myself included. I’m interested in learning how to become a travel blogger, and I’ll definitely follow your site.
