Sorry 2012, we’re breaking up

Shauns cracked compass old map logo

So 2012, you sultry minks you, I hate to say it but I’m leaving you. Yes really. After we’ve shared so much together. The highs, the lows, the twists, the turns. Will we ever be the same? Probably not, and just so you know. That’s a good thing. So there it is! And I would be lying if I said there wasn’t another. It so happens that we have been getting closer as time moves forward. One who looks even more promising, ambitious, exciting and inviting. Her name is 2013, and I can’t wait to see what happens!

Ok! Enough cheese, let’s get to the facts!

Big accomplishments of 2012:

Went to the Canadian Artic in January, saw Northern Lights on my first night there.

Ran a half marathon

Went sky diving

Saw three more countries

Went surfing for the first time

Went wakeboarding for the first time

Had my first Turkish bath

First hot air balloon ride

Hiked to the summit of mount Olympus

Jungle hiking in El Ville Panama

What do I want in 2013?

Develop this blog in to a better resource for travelers

Keep going to see live music

Run another half marathon in May

Go sky diving again

Find an extreme adventure activity in another country

Clock another 5000 kilometers on my motorcycle

Go snowboarding more and try a trick

By all accounts I consider 2012 a success. What’s in store for 2013? Well so far a NYC trip in early spring but that’s all I’m letting out at this moment. You’ll just have to come back and see where Shaun’s compass is pointing!

Do you have any travel resolutions for 2013?

  2. Sky diving again? I think if I did it once, I’d be so pleased to have survived, that would be it for me 🙂
